My Own Animation and Pixilation

Pixilation - How it is done

Pixilation is done by using real people instead of models. You take photos of the people who are stood still that do a different action each time and when they are played back it give the impression of movement.

The first animation done with this was created by Norman Maclaren in 1952 called Neighbors  In some of the scenes they jump up and the photographer would have had to get the photo when they were exactly in the air.

Another animation using this technique is by PES called Human Skateboard. In the film there would be scenes that would have been hard to because in one scene the actor playing the skateboard would have had to balance exactly on the curb.

My Own Animation

I have created a pixilation animation where you take one picture after another and and when you play it back it gives the illusion of animation. I have used Jacob Heaton in my group to create it.
